Choral program

Students have the opportunity to participate in a dynamic choral program. During Junior and/or Senior Choir rehearsals, children begin to learn the skills of breath control, vocal tone, pitch, diction and sight reading while learning a range of repertoire. Rehearsals take place during first break, with performances spread throughout the year.

Instrumental Music

The school offers two Instrumental Music programs. Lessons in Brass, Woodwind and Percussion are available to students in Years 4 to 6 as part of the Instrumental Music Band program. Lessons in Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass are available to students in Years 3 to 6 as part of the Instrumental Strings program.

Crucial factors for success in the program are regular home practise, preparedness and attendance for weekly small group lessons and ensemble rehearsals, and family support for the student. Information regarding purchasing or hiring of instruments and the Instrumental Music program itself is available from the Music Department.
